Born in 1958, Christian Lenz obtained his law degree (licence en droit) from the University of Geneva in 1982. He was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1985. He completed his postgraduate education in 1986 with a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley (USA), and published his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Zurich (Dr. iur., 1992) on the enforcement of US punitive damages awards in Switzerland, with a focus on product liability.
Christian Lenz built his reputation over more than ten years in the Commercial Law/Mergers & Acquisitions department of Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva. He also worked with Slaughter and May in London.
He has published in the areas of commercial and corporate law. He is the co-owner of a medium-size industrial company where he acts as Member of the Board.
Christian Lenz is bilingual German/Swiss German and French. He is fluent in English.
